What version of MySQL is installed with cPanel?

Question

When I install cPanel, what is the default version of MySQL that is installed? 

Answer

For CentOS 7 the default is MySQl 5.7.

For CentOS 8, CloudLinux 8, and AlmaLinux 8,  MySQL 8 is the default.
