Why do I keep getting disconnected within FTP?

 

Answer

If you keep getting disconnected from an FTP session while idle, it might be related to the idle setting. In that case, you might want to increase the idle timeout threshold.

 

For Pure-FTPD the setting that handles the idle timeout threshold is the following:

 

MaxIdleTime

 

For ProFTPD, it is the following:

 

TimeoutIdle

 

This setting can also be modified from within WHM by going to "WHM Service Configuration »FTP Server Configuration »Maximum Idle Time"
