How do I change the email routing of a domain?

Introduction

If you are changing the mail host of a domain already configured on your cPanel server, you will need to change the email routing so that mail is sent to the correct server.

Procedure

To change the email routing through the cPanel interface:

1. Log into the user's cPanel account.
2. Click the "Email Routing" icon.
3. Select the domain name from the "Domain" dropdown menu.
4. Select the "Local Mail Exchanger" or "Remote Mail Exchanger" option.
5. Click the "Change" button.

To change the email routing through WHM:

1. Log into WHM as the 'root' user.
2. Navigate to "Home » DNS Functions » Email Routing Configuration."
3. Select the domain from the "Choose a Domain to Edit" dropdown menu.
