Package Conflict between EA provided Ioncube14 and Alt-PHP

Symptoms

A package conflict is encountered when attempting to install EA-PHP's Ioncube 14 for any PHP 8.X version within a CloudLinux server running Alt-PHP.

For example:

Error: Transaction test error:
  file /usr/lib/.build-id/bf/627b6b7df3f004ca4718bd3992ae6943fe5d0f from install of ea-php83-php-ioncube14-14.4.0-2.3.1.cpanel.x86_64 conflicts with file from package alt-php83-ioncube-loader-14.4.0-1.el9.x86_64

Description

This behavior occurs because both the Alt-PHP and EA-PHP packages are claiming control over the same file(s).

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-46951. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.

There is no current workaround to this behavior.
