Can I convert existing accounts to use a linked Mail Node?
At the time of this article's conception, it is not currently possible to use Modify Account in WHM to convert an account to use a mail node.
The ability to offload a cPanel account's mail storage to a linked node is a planned feature. Please review the following documentation for the latest information on our roadmap for server profiles:
Read the following articles regarding Server Profiles in general and the use of the Profile and link nodes interfaces:

- Provide the ability to back up accounts with data from all of your server nodes.
- Preserve a node setting when you transfer an account from one server to another.
The only way to move the hosting of mail for existing accounts is to backup the accounts, terminate the accounts, and then use one of the restoration methods that were updated in version 88 to allow restoring to a mail node:
Transfer or Restore a cPanel Account
The restorepkg Script
