I created a new email address in my cPanel account, but I want to check the mail in my Gmail account. How can I do that?
Gmail allows users to add additional email accounts to their existing Gmail inbox by using the POP3 protocol. This is useful for users who are already invested in the Gmail system and don't want to deal with checking yet another inbox.
This is also a better option than forwarding mail. If the email address you created in cPanel receives a lot of spam mail and you have configured a mail forwarder that redirects to Gmail, Gmail might identify your cPanel server as a spam source and begin blocking mail from your cPanel server.
