Why can't I load websites in Safari 5?
Answer
Safari 5 is outdated, unsupported, and uses insecure ciphers and protocols for SSL and TLS. The last security update for Safari 5 was in 2013. Please discontinue the use of Safari 5.
Most websites will fail to load when using https because of the lack of security updates for Safari 5.
