How to backup, reset, and restore your Exim configuration

Introduction

This article provides information on how to backup, reset, and restore your Exim configuration.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Exim Configuration Manager module found within WHM.
2. Make a backup of the existing configuration using the Backup tab. Note that you can either download a copy to your local workstation or to the server.
3. After you've confirmed that you have a valid backup you can reset the configuration using the Reset tab. There are several options to choose from here, please read each carefully.
4. Once you are ready to restore your configuration you can use the Restore tab to restore the configuration, choosing from either a local copy of the backup or the backup on the server.
