How do I upgrade to a new version of my operating system? My Operating System vendor has released a newer major version, and/or my current Operating System has reached end-of-life and I would like to ensure my system is updated and secure.
Answer
The cPanel software does not generally support in-place operating system upgrades. Some configurations may be eligible to use the new ELevate utility.
For the most stability, we recommend acquiring a new server with a fresh supported operating system installation upon which cPanel & WHM may be installed. We can even install cPanel & WHM on your new server at your request.
