Can I use the Transfer Tool to migrate an account from a cPanel server running MariaDB to one that is running MySQL?

Answer

The Transfer Tool does support transferring of accounts and databases between servers with different MySQL or MariaDB servers.

During the transfer process, a database dump is created and then imported on the new server. Any conversions required for the database to be compatible are performed automatically during the import process.
