When the server is booted, the time is off. The server is a metal (dedicated/standard) server, not a Cloud or VPS server.
You must be root to perform these commands. These commands are for CentOS 7 or CloudLinux 7.
Ensure chrony is installed and install if necessary
To check to see if chrony is installed, run this command:
systemctl status chronyd
If you see: Unit chronyd.service could not be found.
Then run the following command to install it:
yum install chrony
Set the time and start the synchronization process on each boot
Run the following command:
systemctl enable --now chronyd
Your clock is now synchronized and regularly syncing.
