There are some server requirements for the server, so do make sure your server meets the requirements.
First, install Perl:
apt update && apt upgrade && apt install perl perl-base gawk
Next, to install cPanel on Ubuntu, you must select the "current" tier instead of the default "release" tier, as version 102 is not yet available via "release"
echo "CPANEL=current" > /etc/cpupdate.conf
For more information on tiers and the release process, please review our documentation.
Please note: the Current and Edge tiers are not considered production-ready. The Current tier is considered a release candidate update. For production environments, you should consider updating /etc/cpupdate.conf once version 102 is released to the Release update tier.
The Current tier has received some verification and testing. Some of this version’s features may still be in development. Due to the dynamic nature of Edge builds, only use Edge for testing in a controlled environment. We do not recommend the Edge tier for production servers.
Finally, run the following command:
cd /home && curl -o latest -L https://securedownloads.cpanel.net/latest && sh latest
This command changes your session to the home directory, downloads the defined version of cPanel & WHM, and runs the installation script.
We have a guide on installation available in our documentation that explains how to install cPanel & WHM.
