Introduction
A cPanel account on a CloudLinux server may be experiencing issues where a change made isn't occurring as expected. For example, when changing the PHP version in cPanel an incorrect PHP version is used on the domain's website. One thing to try is resetting the user cagefs environment.
Procedure
cd /var/cagefs
find . -user $user
Then cd into the folder like
cd /var/cagefs/11
Then disable cagefs for that user
cagefsctl --disable $user
Then move the users cagefs files
mkdir /root/cpanelzone
mv $user* /root/cpanelzone
and then enable cagefs for that user again
cagefsctl --enable $user
