How-to recover /opt/cpanel without a backup

Introduction

Either due to accidental deletion or a filesystem error, /opt/cpanel no longer exists on the server.

Procedure

/opt/cpanel, and the files and directories under it, can be regenerated by running the following commands.

yum reinstall 'ea-*'

/scripts/check_cpanel_pkgs --fix
