    Ok, that didn't work. I certainly need to decode the dovecot.index.cache file, the conversations are there. Any clue on how to do that?

    Actually it looks like index files only contain certain information, I don't know if the actually contain the body of the email. Am I out of luck?

    CMM is basically only looking inside /cur, the emails I'm looking for are not there. The file that has the content that I need to see is dovecot.index.cache. but it's encoded/unreadable. The tool doveadm dump only decodes the index file but not index.cache...

    If the mail is still on the account, you should be able to see it. I don't know of a way to read that cache file.

    I think the emails are just not there anymore. I can't decode that file either, very little info online about it. Thanks anyway.
