Redirecting an index.html_
Okay here is the post again:
I am new to cPanel and need some help.
I am using cPanel's in-built Site Publisher for a website and I want that website to point to, for example, www.example.com instead of Example Domain
I've researched about the .htaccess file, which I had to create and did a search on the arguments to put in this file to direct it but none of the arguments have worked.
So I presume something I am missing or I am doing wrong.
Your suggestions would be most helpful.

A little update on this: I managed to recover the website by removing the .htaccess file, found two index.htmls in the same directory (one of them is index.html_), and re-published, and is now directing to a non-www domain i.e. mysite.com. Can the public still connect to and see this website? 0 -
Hello, The public will be able to access any file under the public_html directory unless .htaccess rules or it's permissions are specifically configured to deny access to it. That said, I believe this is the feature you are looking for: Indexes - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0
