Importing email archives (user level)
For the user, changing email server is always a mess: migrating his own archives often is difficult, and we spend a lot of time in ticket assisting our customers to retrieve their email archives and move them someway on the new server.
Few email servers (i.e. Smartermail) has a widget which helps the user to import his own archives: the user needs only to specify the address of his old server, the old email address, the password of the old server... and this tool retrieves via IMAP all his archives, and import them.
There're few external tools which - in a little more complicated way - allow to do the same: i.e. imapsync online ( Imapsync online ) or OVH Mail Migrator ( Migrate your mail accounts with OVH Mail Migrator )
So, I'm here to ask: does exist any add-on for cPanel which allows the user to do the same?

Hi, I don't think there is any such addon available for cross-platform mail migration. You can use transfer tool option for mail migration from one cPanel server to the other.. 0 -

The issue is when the user need to import from a different platform (which is the common situation): email on server without control panel, or with some exotic and uncommon control panel, or from gmail...) A simple add-on based on on IMAP importing should be quite easy to realize, and would allow the easy import of message archives (no contacts or other stuff).0 -
Are you having some sort of issue with your email accounts? 0 -

No, the only issue is for new customers who need importing their own email archives, from elsewhere...0 -

Hi @Remitur, We don't offer a native feature for transferring email data from environments not listed on our I encourage you to open a feature request if this is something you'd like to see added to cPanel & WHM:0
