lsphp "Time to first byte" slow
I was unable to find a topic addressing this issue, so if this is a duplicate inquiry, please forgive me. When using mod_lsapi the memory efficiency is excellent, but it comes at a cost.
After some time of inactivity, the lsphp process dies off, and the process is respawned when a new visitor arrives. What I need is the ability to set lsapi_backend_children per user for my high-end accounts, and leave to the default of auto for my low-end accounts. Is this possible?
Maybe setting lsapi_backend_pgrp_max_idle to 0 per user would do the trick as well, if possible.

Hello nullmem, hello cPanelMichael, Do you have any updates on this? Were you able to resolve that issue for you? I'm having the exact same situation with my lsphp/lsapi cPanel/CloudLinux installation. I'd be more than happy to find out how to resolve that. Thanks! Bjoern 0 -
Hello, I don't see that the original poster opened a support ticket with CloudLinux. Could you open one and let us know the outcome? Thank you. 0 -
Here is the CloudLinux support outcome (ticket id: 27907): [QUOTE]You can set this(lsapi_backend_pgrp_max_idle) parameter to 0 only in httpd.conf, there is no possibility to change this value per virtualhost. More details you can find here: CloudLinux Documentation 0 -
Hello, There is a serverwide solution for lsapi_backend_pgrp_max_idle to be set to zero, simply edit /etc/apache2/conf.d/lsapi.conf and change it. According to their webinar, this file will never get overwritten. 0
