Hello @WebHostPro, It's not possible at this time, but we do have an open feature request for this at: Disable Remote MySQL in cPanel The first comment on that request includes a workaround to hide the icon in cPanel (though it doesn't actually disable the feature). Thank you.

The solution stated in that feature request to remove the remote_mysql icon in Cpanel no longer works!

@goodmove - it seems the steps in the feature request page aren't formatted very well at this point. Can you try this? -create the /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/paper_lantern/dynamicui/dynamicui_hide_icon.conf -add the following code: [{ "file":"remote_mysql", "skipobj":"1" }]
That worked well for me on a test machine just now when I tried that.

I just run this: nano /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/paper_lantern/dynamicui/dynamicui_hide_icon.conf Add this to the file : file=>remote_mysql,skipobj=>1 And save It's been working O.K.

Thank you @cPRex and @WebHostPro. Both solutions are working correctly and as intended.
