Understanding the spamassassin scores for auto delete
Hi
We have some customers running on our WHM/cPanel servers, that are complaining about huge amounts of spam-mail.
I have tried to look in the documentation for how to make the spamfilter more aggressive when performing auto-delete.
Most of our customers are fine with the default setting of 5 as the spam-score, but a few customers are set lower than that and still recieve huge amounts of spam.
If I read the documentation correctly, then a lower number should make the filter more aggressive and catch more mail, while a higher number makes the filter less aggressive and therefore allow more spam mail to pass through the filter without being stopped.
Is this correctly understood?

Hello, Keep in mind the "score" setting for the the Auto Delete option is separate from the default score SpamAssassin uses to determine if a message is SPAM. The default score for SpamAssassin itself is configured separately in "cPanel >> SpamAssassin" by clicking on the "Configure Apache SpamAssassin" button at the bottom of the page. Thank you. 0
