Frequent Server Reboots Suggested

So, I have came up with an issue on both of the VPS servers I own. The systems are frequently requesting system reboots ("You must reboot the server to apply software updates."). I am using version 68.0.28 and I feel that this has started happening after the recent update to the update to the Linux kernel due to Spectre and Meltdown. I updated Linux using the command line and I think after that the cpanel keeps requesting system reboots. As soon as I reboot the server, the warning disappears but it reappears again after just a few days.
