Domain alias shows instead of main domain?
I have a strange problem which I cannot work out how to solve.
My client has a main domain and a domain alias which is an old unused website url.
The reason she keeps this old domain is because she has one email address which she uses besides the emails on her 'real domain'.
The old domain url is not used for anything.
For some reason when looking at her 'real domain' and clicking on a menu it shows the page content using the old domain name.
Now I understand this is how domain aliases work.
What I don't understand is why the website defaults (not always) to the old alias and not the main website url.
I have root access to the server.
Any thoughts much appreciated

Hello, It's possible the alias domain name is added to one of the website's configuration files. If it uses a PHP script such as WordPress, then browse through the configuration settings to see if the alias domain name is utilized anywhere. Thank you. 0 -

Hi Michael Thanks for the reply. It's actually in Joomla but similar of course! Following your message I went into the database and searched for the old domain name. And deleted references to it. There wasn't anything in the config files. So let's see what happens! Thanks Andrew0
