Proper/easier way to move/transfer e-mails
Hello,
One of my clients has a massive mailbox (around 70GB), which created all sorts of problems for him. He uses Outlook and it can't handle it anymore, producing space error. So he asked me to move some e-mails from his mailbox somewhere else so he'd be able to access it via Outlook.
I was just wondering what is the proper/easier way to do it?
I've tried to Export some folders via Horde web interface, but i'm getting errors doing so, probably because the folders are too big (they are 6GB +).
How else can i proceed?

We've never had to deal with mailboxes that large, but have delt with a few 20GB+ .. We usually have the client set up a a local folder or shared (Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo) email folder, then drag 'n drop the folders/items manually.. Of course it takes a week - but it teaches them to manage their email better! Warning - if you do this, use "copy" - never "move"... 0 -
You can simply move emails as you would do with files, so create another email ID or more than one and move files from older inbox to new one. Fix permissions and you are good to go. Depending on what version your client is using for Outlook and OS, you may just create sub folders on the same mail account and move emails/files from inbox of sub folders. Also have a look - Removed - 0 -
To follow up, that's what i did. Just moved the files. 0 -
