MySQL Updates acting strange after updating my.cnf

I was receiving a too many user connections error a lot on my website. So after researching I found out how to modify my.cnf, I thought that all I did was remove the max_user_connections, but since updating my.cnf about half of my mysqli updates refuse to do anything. I turned on e notifications and they aren't displaying any errors, they just won't update. I don't think I changed anything else in the my.cnf, but with my lack of experience editing these files I am at a loss where to even begin debugging.

  Update, it now says the tables that won't update are In Use on php myadmin, and when I click them it says unknown storage engine innodb. So I check my error log and it says innodb failed to initialize not acceptable as storage engine.

  my InnoDB log files were corrupted, I used the InnoDB repair guide to reload them and it brought them back to life with no data loss.
