PHP sessions persisting

Have a strange problem whereby on the live server, when users try to login or logout of the site, the page stays and then only if they refresh will the page change to the login screen. on the testing server this does not happen.. Any advice appreciated. [removed]

  Solved Problem.. used ob_start() and ob_flush to make it behave
