Problem with IMAP bandwidth usage

Hello, i have another problem with some email accounts, i check the log and give this result Feb 21 09:43:11 leon dovecot: imap(eva@********.com): Logged out in=33011, out=238568736, bytes=33011/238568736 Feb 21 10:03:05 leon dovecot: imap(eva@********.com): Logged out in=243, out=1284, bytes=243/1284 i saw another posts and apparently IMAP consume many bandwidth but here it's the thing this email have 1.3 GB of content, i checked another email accont, this have 2.3 GB and use IMAP too and the log shows me this: Feb 21 09:51:00 leon dovecot: imap(pgalicia@********.com.mx): Logged out in=93, out=1027, bytes=93/1027 Feb 21 09:54:00 leon dovecot: imap(pgalicia@********.com.mx): Logged out in=93, out=1027, bytes=93/1027 why i one email imap consume a few bytes and in the other sometimes consume 238MB

    Here a connection today at the same time, why one connection low and the other very high?     Hello, It's possible the higher bandwidth usage stems from a user that's setting up IMAP for the first time in their email client, and thus is downloading all of the messages stored on the server. The other log entry could indicate the email client was already setup, and thus only new messages were downloaded. Thank you.

    But this user have many connections in the day, some low other bigger like 32 Mb, 100Mb and 200Mb, this client have many folders in his email, this could be the problem?, yesterday they used 10-15GB of bandwidth

    It depends on how their email clients are configured on their local computer. Have you checked with them to see how they are checking their emails? For instance, do they utilize multiple email clients? Thank you.
