View email message sent by an email account

Hi everyone, I bought a domain e.g. example.com I created an email account e.g. tom@example.com. I linked tom@example.com to my Gmail account to send and receive emails. So I would like to know if I could view the emails sent from tom@example.com by Cpanel Mail. In my research, I found that using tail dovecot.index.cache returns the

• Subject:
• Re:
• From:
• Message-ID:.

But it does not return the Message. Hope you can help me thx!

  Since you are a root administrator, you can actually use the WHM GUI to do this in many cases. Just go WHM -> Email -> Mail Delivery Reports. Use the Report Inquiry fields to select the type of report you want. Once you click "Run Report," you may have the option in the Actions column with an icon like an open envelope and a tool-tip of "Read the email message". Click the icon to read the message. An alternative is to log on to cPanel for the account and go Email Accounts -> click the More drop-down for the account and choose Access Webmail. Select one of the UIs, and look in the Sent folder. If you've set up the account as IMAP with Gmail and allowed retention of the Sent messages for a suitable amount of time, you'll see the messages there and can read them.

  Hello, Can you provide more details on how you configured this? For instance, if you simply setup Gmail to download the messages using IMAP, then the messages should still exist on the cPanel server in Webmail. Thank you.

  Hi, thank you for your replies! So I found a solution, from Cpanel you are able to access to all of the email accounts created by Webmail. (See Foto1.png) It looks like when I create an email account from Cpanel it does not have SMTP protocol for the Incoming Server (See Foto3.png). So I have problems when I add a personal account in Gmail (see Foto2.png) because Gmail asks for an SMTP connection. Cpanel and Webmail recommend to work with an IMAP connection but Gmail does not allow to work with the IMAP port number of my server (See Foto3.png), to add an email address account in Gmail it just allows to add an account with an SMTP connection. Any suggestions? -- Thinks I've learned and I want to share. When you get Cpanel you get Webmail to:

  • For Cpanel -> example.com/cpanel
  • For Webmail -> example.com/webmail

  I created an email account in Cpanel and I was thought that I have to use the server domain (e.g. server666.domain.com) for the Incoming and Outgoing Server, but in the email account configuration gives me domain site (e.g. example.com) see picture attached.

  Hello, Exim also runs on port 587 by default. The images you provided suggest the issue is that you are using the wrong username and password. The username needs to include "@domain". EX: username@domain.tld Thank you.
