Moved cPanel account, Contacts List missing
Hello, i am not sure if this is the right section to ask but i have a slight little problem with a full backup of an account i have on a cpanel server.
I had a server (vps) that i had to close and move to another. There i had an email account in one of my accounts that i had contact lists in one of my emails. (Saved emails contacts). I got a full directory backup that i restored to the new server and i saw that the contacts are missing. Is there a way to restore them from the backup ? Please i really need them !!!

Hello, Can you verify which Webmail application (E.g. Horde, Roundcube) you used to originally setup the contact list? Thank you. 0 -
it was roundcube ! 0 -
Hello, Can you verify if the Roundcube SQLite database exists at the /home/$username/etc/$domain/$username.rcube.db path? If not, does this file exist in your backup? Do you have copies of account backups generated through the WHM backup feature, or do you only have a copy of the filesystem? Thank you. 0 -
the full directory backups i have are from every user individually from their accounts... Unfortunatelly there is no .db in the path you said.. ! 0 -
in the new server that i transfered the backup and restored it, there is the .db in the path you said... ! 0 -
Hello, To clarify, was the account moved from another server? If so, does that server use a MySQL database for Roundcube? To check that, you can see if /var/lib/mysql/roundcube exists on that server. If that's the case, you'd need to follow the instructions we document at: How to Convert Roundcube to SQLite - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
i don't have SSH access at all ! so i cannot check if the /var/lib/mysql/roundcube exists in the new server. And i don't have access to the previous server as it has been deleted (it was a VPS). 0 -

If the previous server was deleted, then it's possible the Roundcube data was stored in a MySQL database and thus is no longer available. I recommend checking with your current hosting provider for help with how to proceed. Thank you.0 -
i will try... ! thanks ! 0
