Server IP consuming hosted site bandwidth
A couple of months ago we saw that the bandwidth consumption of some accounts hosted on the server was being consumed by the server's IP. Any idea why this is happening?
We have WHM v68.0.29 running in the server with CentOS 7.4 STD

Hello, Do you happen to have Apache Mod_Userdir enabled on any of these accounts (e.g. the website is accessible via IP/~username)? Thank you. 0 -
Hi, Michael It seems to be disabled 51079 0 -
Are this IPs dedicated IPs for the specific domain and used for emails, FTP in that case? 0 -
Hello, You can also review the domain access logs for one of the domain names with bandwidth stemming from the server's IP address to see if you can find more information about where the traffic is coming from. The Apache domain access logs are located at: /var/log/apache2/domlogs/username/
Thank you.0 -
Hi, Michael As you suggest I have taken a look to the logs and the issue seems related to a mod_pagespeed problem. I made some changes to the mod_pagespeed settings to see if the bandwith consumption from our own server changes. 0
