Wildcard certificate question
We have a client who administrates the websites for a cooperative of 30+ members. Each member has a site which has a non related domain name, as well as multiple sub-domains. The entire system sits under one cPanel account and 1 IP. The client is seeking a SSL that will cover all domains as wildcards, without requiring a separate SSL per site. So far we have been unable to find a cost effective (and without rebuilding the system) means to affect this. Advice please! Has anyone else had similar issues. How have you solved this problem?
Thanks in advance

Hello, Have you considered using the AutoSSL feature? It will install a free signed SSL certificate for all of the domain names that point to the cPanel server. It's documented at: Manage AutoSSL - Version 70 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
Will someone visiting a site with one get any indication that its a free signed SSL or do they work as the paid versions?
It's a signed certificate from Comodo, which is considered a trusted certificate authority by web browsers. From your link it states:
- AutoSSL does not secure wildcard domains.
A signed SSL certificate is automatically installed for each subdomain that's created under the account. Thus, you would need to create the subdomain via the "cPanel >> Subdomains" option before it's issued a certificate. Thank you.0
