Hi There. The good news is they have been able to connect to the incoming server and are able to receive e-mail accordingly. However the main problem now is they are unable to send from Mac Mail using either a secure or none secure connection. I have done all the steps shown on the link above. Any further help would be great. Thank you.. Robert

Hello, Do you see a specific error message in /var/log/exim_mainlog when the outgoing attempt fails? What specific settings are configured for outgoing email in the Mail app? Thank you.

Hi, When I login via SSH I attempt to go to /var/log/exim_mainlog I get an error message saying exim_mainlog is not a directory. However, when I output all the folders within the log folder I am presented with 3 columns From left to right anaconda apache2 atop audit ... Middle column inline with the first column exim_mainlog exim_mainlog-20180211.tar.gz Third Column messages-20180219 I've tried to sudo up, whatever that means using sudo -i which didn't do anything. I'm logged in as the root user. Any help would be great. Thanks

Update: Ok I managed to gain access to the exim_mainlog file using nano - contacted my server provider. I have then popped on to look at the configuration in the WHM for Exim and found there were a couple of things I hadn't done, so did those and now they are able to connect, send and receive from the server - insecurely. Is there a way to get this to work securely? Thank you all so much for your help.

Hi Guys, Thought I had best come back, since tinkering with the settings and updating it to be the same as the original article that was share by @cPanelMichael they can now send and receive a huge thank you @cPanelMichael. However, the next problem that they are experiencing is with their Mac Mail showing the folders under the inbox. They don't want this, they want it to display as in the screen shot attached. On my iMac, running High Sierra, this doesn't seem to be a problem. However they are unable to create these folders which is causing a few issues to say the least. Not sure if this is a cPanel fault or more a Mac Mail problem. But any help would be great

Hi, I've moved this to a new thread since it relates to a separate topic: Thanks!
