Hosting websites on one cPanel server and email facility on another

HI I have a WHM accound and I would like to have the website hosted on a cpanel accound and having email on another cpanel account. When I created the cpanel for www.domain.com its ok but when I went to the mailserver cpanel and tried to add the domain there so I will be able to create email accounts I cannot add the domain as an addon domain giving me this error: (XID x8qugr) The domain "domain.com" already exists in the Apache configuration. Is there a work around for this please ?

  Hello, You can't add the same domain name to multiple cPanel accounts on the same server. Check to verify if the domain name already exists on the server you are attempting to add it to with a command like this: /scripts/whoowns domain.tld

  The domain is owned by a cpanel account. So its not possible to have a cpanel hosting only websites and another cpanel to host only email accounts under the same WHM ?

  Hello, That's correct. You can't add the same domain name under multiple cPanel accounts. Thank you.
