Forwarding E-mails Question
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if this is possible.
We have an e-mail forwarder set up so that e-mails from address1@domain.com get forwarded to address2@domain2.com
When the message arrives, the 'from' address is the original sender's address. Is there anyway to set is up so that the 'from' address is the forwarding address that we set up. In this case, address1@domain.com ?
The real life situation is that:
- We will receive emails from external@domain.com
- The message will be forwarded from internal1@domain.com
- To customers@emailaccount.com

Hi, You can use the email filter to setup the custom forwarding you want. Check the below cPanel document link for more details: How to Configure Mail Filters - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation 0 -

Hello, Check to see if the following option is enabled under the "Mail" tab in "WHM >> Exim Configuration Manager >> Basic Editor": Enable Sender Rewriting Scheme (SRS) Support This option rewrites sender addresses so that the email appears to come from the forwarding mail server. This allows forwarded email to pass an SPF check on the receiving server. You'd need to disable this option if you want the header to show the original sender's address. Thank you.0 -

Hello, Thank you for this. Is it possible to turn it on on a per-domain basis? We only really want to do it for one domain if possible. Kind regards James0 -
Hello, We don't support enabling or disabling that option on a per-domain basis. You may find the following threads helpful if you wanted to implement a custom workaround, but note that it's not supported, and these threads are not direct guides on how to do that: Thank you. 0
