Session lifetime too short after move to EA4

I moved to EA4 and now my sessions expire far too fast. I had it set to like 8 hours before and that was great. Now it seems to be like 15 minutes. I tried increasing PHP's session.gc_maxlifetime in php.ini and that did nothing. I'm running cPanel v68.0.30. What do I have to do to make it work properly? Thanks.
