Proxy Domains with SSL Issue

Hi, I'm new to the forum so I hope I don't break any forum rules! :) I recently switched my WHM VPS server to a new company and I currently have WHM with CENTOS 7.4 cPanel v68.0.36 I'm using the AutoSSL to install SSL certs on all domains and then had to install cPanel Proxy to allow me to setup webmail.domain.com and cpanel.domain.com Before installing the SSL, the cPanel proxy works fine, however when I install the SSL a redirect is sending webmail.domain.com to www.webmail.domain.com I know that cPanel Proxy is a third party add-on, but I think this is being caused by some WHM configuration that I'm missing. Has anyone else come across this? Thanks in advance.

  Hi @Owen McHale While I'm not very familiar with the cPanel Proxy plugin the description of it is [QUOTE]This script is made for people who use cPanel. Its purpose is to give access to cPanel (including webmail and WHM) at port 80 by acting like a proxy. (For people behind strict firewalls.) It can be installed by server owner, reseller or end-users.
  Which leads me to believe that it may be interfering. With cPanel proxy disabled do you still encounter the same behavior? Thank you,

  Hi Lauren, Thanks for your reply. Perhaps a better question to ask then would be: how do I setup the subdomain cpanel.domain.com, and redirect the cpanel login page to it WITHOUT using cPanelProxy? Thanks

  The issue seems to have resolved itself. I re-installed the SSL cert for the domain and the proxy domains are working by themselves now without the use of the cPanelProxy plugin. Just wish I knew why it happened in the first place.

  Hello, Unfortunately, it's difficult to predict the behavior of 3rd party plugins as we don't test or develop using them. I am happy to hear that it's working now without the plugin. Without being able to replicate the issue I can only assume there was either an issue with the SSL VirtualHost for the domain or a .htaccess rule that was rewriting, though I can't say for sure. Thank you,
