Restoring website from backup issue
I'm new to CPanel and trying to help a friend out by adding an ecommerce section to his website.
The only problem is I have downloaded the Magento ecommerce plugin, gone to the website and it has come up with this message:
51563
I have uninstalled the ecommerce but it still won't work. I then tried restoring the website from a previous back up and yet it still hasn't done anything.
Could someone help me please?
Thanks!

To add to it, i now can no longer even access the cpanel login as it just says it has timed out - is this something to do with my IP Address being blocked by it? 0 -
Not too be harsh ;) but it might be a bit of a rough road for you, I would look for a step by step on Google but first make sure your host doesn't have an auto installer like Softaculous, it will install Magento for you. If they are a managed host, I'd ask them to help you out :) otherwise Google will be your best friend: "cpanel how to install magento" 0 -
Yes rightly said softaculous can do the job with a single click.. and if they dont offer it you can anytime ask them to get it installed it for you, its much easier for hosting provider using root access. 0 -
Hello, As @Jcats and @webhostuk note, it is much easier to make these changes using softaculous or similar programs. It sounds like you're possibly overwriting the site data or restoring to the incorrect location? It's difficult to say without more information. It does sound like your IP is blocked and you'll need to contact the provider to get it unblocked if your friend doesn't have access to WHM. Thank you, 0 -
Thank you! I managed to get on the cPanel from a different IP address and have managed to correct the Index issue by clicking on a back up of a previous file. 0 -
Hi @ebbx That's great news! I'm glad to hear the issue is resolved. Thanks! 0
