Apache is not starting - apr_stat_fd
Hello,
My apache service is not starting.
Please see the error:
CT-26494-bash-4.1# service httpd start
Starting httpd: /usr/sbin/httpd: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/httpd: undefined symbol: apr_stat_fd
[FAILED]
I have removed the apr and apr-util and installed again using yum command.
But the error still persists when starting apache.
I have manually removed old libraries of apr and reinstall the latest version.
Then the error becomes:
CT-26494-bash-4.1# httpd -t
httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libaprutil-1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
I'm using easyapace4.
Kindly help me to overcome this issue.

Hi @Nandulal This does sound like the thread linked by @rarod and related to our internal case EA-7366 - updates for this were pushed last night If Apache is still down please do the following and let us know the results: yum clean all yum update ea-*
Once that's done ensure that ea-apr-util is >=1.6 you can do this with:rpm -qi ea-apr-util
Then, check to ensure all PHP versions have a handler set:/usr/local/cpanel/bin/rebuild_phpconf --current
If the output here is none there is an autofixer for this now:/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/autorepair resolve_all_php_handlers_being_none
Please let us know if this resolves the issue. [COLOR=rgb(0, 0, 0)]0 -
Hi, Thank you for your help. There are no php handlers present. Also "yum update ea-*" result in errors: --- [Wed Apr 04 01:12:27.769550 2018] [alias:warn] [pid 523] AH00671: The Alias directive in /etc/apache2/conf/httpd.conf at line 7552 will probably never match because it overlaps an earlier Alias. --- Waiting for "httpd" to start ""warn [restartsrv_httpd] The system encountered an error while starting the "httpd" service with the command "/usr/sbin/apachectl start": The subprocess reported error number 127 when it ended. Contact your system administrator if the service does not automagically recover. !! PHP handlers are still all `none`!! This probably means there is a problem w/ an EA4 RPM. Once that is fixed run this script manually or configure the PHP handlers via WHM or /usr/local/cpanel/bin/rebuild_phpconf --- Kindly help me to know fix this issue. 0 -
Hello, It looks like the two RPM's that are causing the issue are: ea-apache24.x86_64 0:2.4.29-1.1.2.cpanel ea-apache24-config-runtime.noarch 0:1.0-119.119.7.cpanel
which are the older versions If you execute the following command:rpm -qa |grep ea-apache24
Can you post the output you get? Ultimately if apache is still down on this server, I'd advise opening a ticket to ensure the issue is resolved more quickly Thank you,0
