The site resolves fine. but Mail wont send or be received due to the "Cpanel is unable to verify that this server is an authoritative nameserver..."

Hello, Could you let us know the steps you are taking to reproduce the issue with sending/receiving email? The error message you provided generally appears in the Authentication feature of cPanel when attempting to add SPF/DKIM records. It's not something that would prevent you from sending or receiving email. Thank you.

Thanks Michael! That message is the Cpanel message (sorry for not clarifying, I did leave that whole part out about turning on DKIM and SPF in Cpanel..) Edit: I notice that the NOTICE is referring to the second set of nameservers here: Reporting-MTA: dns; xxx.nameserver2.com And it a subdomain of that domain.... I inherited this server and I dont know why that set of nameservers is there or why ns2.nameserver2.com has no IP assigned to it. I have average skills here at best... I'll admit.. We have 25 or so other sites that all work fine here. Including a few setup in this same manner with a client pointing an A record to our IP with a Subdomain.. THANK YOU!

I tried to edit the last note to be correct. The message I posted is the Email that is returned to you as the email SENDER when trying to send to the email address of the website/account in question. That example is from a Gmail account. Sorry for the incomplete posts.

Hello @icvdm, Could you send me a private message with the specific domain name that's experiencing this issue? I'll take a closer look at the reported name servers to see if I notice anything out of the ordinary. Thank you.

Thanks Michael, This is may seem crazy but I do not see a facility to PM you in this forum. I looked. I followed you thinking that would expose something, maybe the PM option. I logged in and out as well.

Hello, To update, it looks like the DNS records need to be configured at the DNS host of the parent domain name, as it's not managed by the cPanel server. Thank you.
