What is PUT Request During Backup to Amazon S3?
Can someone clarify what a "PUT" request actually is with regards to this specific example (using WHM backup to a Amazon S3).
Parameters in WHM:
*Compressed
*Daily Backup
*Only backing up Accounts (no suspended, no access logs, no bandwidth data, and not backing up system files to amazon)
*SQL option is "per account only"
*Number of accounts being backed up is 7.
I am asking, because having started this process 3 days ago, using those settings. The number of "PUT" requests in the amazon billing dashboard is 717, which means every day the backup is performed is using 239 PUT requests. So can someone clarifying what a PUT is? Seems like a lot when I was just going to use the Free Tier (only 2000 PUT per month) to maintain secondary backups. Not that it would be expensive, but I would like to know why so many PUT.

I didn't have logging on yet, I will turn it on and review it after the next backup and see. Just seems strange that 7 sites, which looking in the folder there's maybe 2 or 3 files per site would be so many PUTs per day. 0
