Trouble Extracting Tar Files on cPanel File Manager

I have been trying to extract an 8GB tar archive. I am also trying to put the expanded copy, which appears to be 30GBs up over FTP, I am doing both because I first tried uploading using FTP, and couldn't finish the upload in over 12 hours, so I tried uploading the tar file and extracting it. After an hour or so, I thought it sopped working so I stopped it, then I tried it again, and it's 5 hours and it still wont extract.

  Hello, Do you have SSH access? If so, it's generally better to extract that large of an archive via the command line: SSH Access - Version 70 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Otherwise, you might encounter timeouts when using File Manager due to the size of the file. Thank you.

  I don't think I do, and I've been trying to upload the extracted version for 5 hours.

  Hello, I recommend reaching out to your web hosting provider to see if they can enable SSH access on the account. Using File Manager to upload or extract a file of that size is unlikely to work due to internal PHP and memory limits configured for the cpsrvd process. Thank you.
