Strange email sent about domain
Is anyone else getting emails from CPanel that are stating that there domain is set for deactivation when they do not have an account with CPanel but have CPanel through a hosting company??
I'm rather concerned that I am being threatened by "CPanel" that my domain is about to be deactivated for non renewal.

cPanel does not send domain expiry notifications to my knowledge. Can you please show us a copy of the email you're receiving? Thank you, 0 -

Hi @steveo314 Does this email say that it originated from cPanel? This looks like a letter from a domain registrar indicating that the domain validation/verification steps have not been completed. This isn't an email that cPanel sends, it is possible that it's something the provider is sending as well. You can view the header information to see where the email originated from in Gmail by clicking the drop-down on the right-hand side of the screen when viewing the email then click "show source". If you could, post that here but remove any of your domain/server's identifying information. Thank you, 0 -
the email address the email is from is accounts@cpanel.net I don't have the show source option 0 -
Hello, I'm sorry I mistyped it's "Show Original" that should be available on any Gmail client. Thank you, 0 -

Ok. Thank you. I had a feeling but wanted to reach out to you all(CPanel). 0 -
Happy to help! cPanel does not send out emails like this. Your Domain Registrar, whomever they are, most likely do not either. The links in the email are all the same, and is the giveaway for me as this being spam. 0 -
