Question about item in top processes list

I'm having problems on my servers, load goes out from 0.05 and goes to 125 to 185. In the top processes appear some 40 applications: / opt / cpanel / ea-php56 / root / usr / bin / php-cgi What can this be? is it some DDOS attack? How can I block? Vps Configuration: 500gb of hd 8 memory 8 cpus cloudlinux

  Traffic can be checked with netstat and apache status. If there is an attack, it can be blocked with csf.

  Hello, The following thread is a good place to start when troubleshooting high loads: As far as the PHP-CGI process, check the Apache access log (/usr/local/apache/logs/access_log) or the domain access logs in /usr/local/apache/domlogs/ when this happens to see if you can narrow down which account is the culprit.
