Backup cPanel to Commvault?

Hello, I have cPanel version 68.0.36 and Commvault system backup in my company. I would like to know if someone uses Commvault for backup cPanel.... Best regards, Elizabeta

    Thank you Michael for your answer. I have one question, when i choose option on WHM Home-Backup-Backup Configuration enable backup and Configure Backup Directory /backup I have Warning : Your system does not have a separate filesystem for backups. This may cause performance degradation during the backup process. (enabling quotas) UUID=3b055367-711f-4240-928d-088978074a0f (already configured quotas = 0). /dev/mapper/rhel-home (enabling quotas) On the machine cPanel I have: /backup is /dev/mapper/rhel-root partition.     Hello @Elizabeta, Thank you for the additional information. It looks like the output you see in "WHM >> Backup Configuration" is accurate, as /backup is not configured on it's own separate partition. While the warning message you see is accurate (it's not the ideal setup performance-wise), it shouldn't prevent backups from working. You can still proceed to enable backups using "/backup" as the destination if you prefer to not add a separate partition/filesystem for the /backup location.     I have another question, If I enable backup and choose optin to backup users and the System files, is it enough to Restore entire cPanel machine.

    No, we don't support restoring an entire filesystem. If there's a hardware failure or filesystem corruption, the best approach is to reinstall the OS and cPanel, and then restore the accounts from the backup archives.
    Aproximately which size of the backup would be (cca 100 hosting users)?

    The backup sizes will vary depending on how much disk space the accounts utilize.

    I would only add here for clarity that if you're backing up to the same drive alone, and there is any hardware failure, you may not have backups available to you. At a minimum, a second drive for backups only could be added to your server by your Hosting Provider. Better, backup to a second drive attached to the server and to a remote location as well. You can never have too many backups. ;)
