/opt/cpanel/ea-openssl/lib64 missing
Hello,
Hi guys,
Firstly some specs
OS: Cloudlinux 6.9 with the 2.6.32-896.16.1.lve1.4.53.el6.x86_64 kernel.
/etc/cpupdate.conf
CPANEL=stable
RPMUP=never (for reasons beyond this topic)
UPDATES=daily
EA OPENSSL VERSION: ea-openssl.x86_64 1:1.0.2n-1.el6.cloudlinux @cl-ea4
I have just been woken up to the sight of all of our servers with EA4 not starting httpd with the following log message
"httpd: Syntax error on line 25 of /etc/apache2/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of /etc/apache2/conf.modules.d/490_mod_ssl.conf: Cannot load modules/mod_ssl.so into server: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
/etc/apache2/modules# ldd

By the way, forgot to mention that this happened during/after a cPanel update, but I failed to find any relevant info inside the logs. Update timestamps for all affected servers gravitate towards this one: -rw------- 1 root root 286086 Apr 19 01:58 update.1524101641.log 0 -
This happened to me right after daily cpanel update. How did you restore /opt/cpanel/ea-openssl/lib64/ 0 -
For others that come across this, I ran: /scripts/upcp --force yum -y update That added /opt/cpanel/ea-openssl/lib64 back and then apache started working. 0 -
Hi, This is an issue that CloudLinux had, as indicated by @nat running yum -y update should resolve the issue. We have an internal case to track the issue CPANEL-19905 but CloudLinux has already released a post on this indicating that it should be resolved now as well: EasyApache 4 Bugfix Release Thank you, 0
