CentOS 7.4 to 7.5 update
Edit: the updated OS was displayed on WHM a day later.
I have cPanel v70.0.38, I rebooted the system as there were pending software updates, but I still do not see CentOS upgraded to 7.5 (it has been upgraded in another server though). I see:
CENTOS 7.4 standard [host]
How do I update to CentOS 7.5?
When trying
cat /etc/redhat-release
I get:
CentOS Linux release 7.5.1804 (Core)
-
Bug: cpanel did the same thing from 7.3 to 7.4 /bin/rm /var/cpanel/sysinfo.config /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/gensysinfo /scripts/restartsrv_cpsrvd 0 -
Hello, Actually this should be updated once daily. In some instances if the update has already occurred and the system is updated it will remain using the older values until the file is updated again. In some cases the file is updated but there is caching in place and WHM reflects older values. You can confirm if the file has been updated by first running cat /var/cpanel/sysinfo.config
if it still reflects CentOS 7.4 The steps noted to force the update of the file are as indicated by @dalem0
