mod_suphp question

I was running a server with PHP CGI and I setup mod_suphp with EasyApache, then i set the suphp handler at the PHP Manager. Ok, seems that is working cause I see info at /etc/apache2/logs/suphp_log, there was only one site with a warn message that a folder was writable. I set the permissions to 755 and the site became available again. My doubt is with a particular site, is a Joomla that all folders are set to 755 and files to 644 and has it user.user permission correctly. If I change for example index.php to 777 site gives error 500 which is ok. But if set a folder, any folder of the joomla to 777, the site loads and doesnt gives 500 error. Why is that? Shouldnt be an error 500 instead?? Also, other thing that took my attention that there is a site that is wordpress that has the upload folder with permisions 775 and the user.nobody permission. And the site loads anyways with that configuration with suphp. Shouldn be an error cause of 775 folder permission and using a group different from the user? I wait your comments. Thank you!

  Nevermind, I switched to php-fpm and I got the issue fixed. Besides, suphp is no longer supported.
