What happens to emails arriving on old server during Transfer Tool process?
Hello,
I tried to find an answer to this question here and on Google but could not find any. How does cPanel handle emails/files created during a Transfer Tool transfer process? What happens to them? Does the process do a file list check one final time prior to completing the process to ensure the latest emails and files are transferred too?
Can I force refresh the account transfer with the "Overwrite" option for new leftover files/emails?
Cheers,
Andryan

The docs should be useful to you: Transfer Tool - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation 0 -

You can't overwrite a restore to update certain files. It's best to do moves during off hours or weekends when traffic is low. Once you start don't stop, complete the transfer and make sure DNS is proper. As those docs explain, MX records are taken into consideration during the backup and restore processs to make sure email keeps flowing as expected. With some planning and a little luck, your accounts may not even know you moved them, if you do it properly. What you can do to check the email account on the old server after the transfer and restore are complete is, login to the old server's cPanel via the old server's IP address 12.34.567:2083 Once the transfer process takes a backup, that snapshot of the account and all email on it at the time, are what's moved of course. There may be delays while DNS propagates, and email sent to accounts may hold on the senders servers attempting resend later if they can't find their way to the moved account.0
