AutoSSL fails authority verification on IE
AutoSSL works fine and update certs regularly. Testing in Safari, Chrome and Firefox = no issues.
In IE11 the domain www.example.com works fine but not the regular example.com
In addition, it seems that the certificate itself is ok, but not the cPanel authority.
Is there anything I can do (besides redirect to www), to get AutoSSL generate valid certs for the domain? Or is this just up to cPanel/Comodo?

Hi @Olof I'm trying to replicate this using internet explorer and I've not been able to. Can you let me know the specific version you're using? Thanks! 0 -

Sure! It is: IE11.0.9600.17691 running on windows 70 -
Hi @Olof I'm still unable to replicate the issue. I'm using IE Explorer on Win7 looking at the site in the screenshot as well and I get a valid certificate. Please see the attached images. 0 -
Thanks for the help! That solved it! It turned out to be that Windows' settings must be set to allow TLS 1.2 which was turned off by default. Then it couldn't reach Comodo to verify. Turning it on and restarting IE fixed it. Hope this will help somebody else. 0 -
Hi @Olof That does make sense, thank you very much for adding the resolution here. 0
