You can't use AutoSSL to setup SSL on domains that points to an external IP. Use CloudFlares SSL instead: Simple Secure Socket Layer (SSL)/TLS Encryption | Cloudflare

As mentioned by @DennisMidjord if the domain points to an IP that does not exist on the server the domain will not be able to receive an AutoSSL certificate Thanks!

I properly parked the my domain on user 'x', then initiated the AutoSSL script (using WHM) for user 'x', Looks like, from the logs, the cert is being re-issued from cPanel Inc., but the domain remains un-padlocked in the list of SSL certs. Can you help me figure out what's going wrong? Relevant snippet from the AutoSSL ERROR TLS Status: Defective ERROR Defect: NO_SSL: No SSL certificate is installed. Local HTTP DCV OK: ERROR "cPanel (powered by Comodo)" forbids DCV HTTP redirections. Domain DNS records points to exact IP.

ERROR "cPanel (powered by Comodo)" forbids DCV HTTP redirections.

Do you have redirections in place in the .htaccess file?
