[CPANEL-19611] cPanel & WHM update process failed
I've been receiving this email daily for the last few days, but I haven't been able to find a solution.
The errors logged are:
When I try to run "scripts/find_outdated_services --always-restart" this is the ouput:
So it appears to work fine when I run the find_outdated_services command outside of upcp, but in the upcp operation it triggers this error.
/etc/redhat-release:CentOS release 6.9 (Final)
/usr/local/cpanel/version:11.70.0.44
/var/cpanel/envtype:standard
CPANEL=release

The system did not find any outdated services.
So it appears to work fine when I run the find_outdated_services command outside of upcp, but in the upcp operation it triggers this error.

Hi @jdrusso92 I believe this is related to an internal case we have open currently CPANEL-19611 find_outdated_services sometimes exits with an error code during upcp, without leaving useful error information logged. In the case description, it noted that it fails during updates but not when running manually. This shouldn't be affecting your ability to update but the internal case is currently in test for v74 of cPanel. Once it's resolved I'll update this thread again. Thanks! 0 -
Hello, I have exactly the same issue, my cPanel version 70.0.46 Thank you Lauren for your clarification. As I see from your reply that I can get all updates through a manually update "Upgrade to Latest Version", right? However, is there an expected date to publish v74? 0 -
Hi @Shood You should be able to update regardless of this error. If you want to check if you really have outdated services or not you can run /scripts/find_outdated_services manually but you should be alright to disregard the notices about this until the issue is resolved. I do show in the case now that they backported the resolution to v72 of cPanel - I would recommend waiting until 72 is in CURRENT to update to it. I don't have a specific date for when the release will be published but I can see that v72 is in EDGE right now. Thanks! 0 -
Hello, I just wanted to update that this issue is fixed in v74 which is in RELEASE. It was also backported to v72 of cPanel. Please let us know if you encounter any further issues with this. Thanks! 0 -
Hello @
Thank you.0 -
HI @Shood This error is a bit different, there seems to be an issue with MariaDB's repo file. Can you confirm that it looks the same as follows: [22:41:45] [9695235] [~]$ cat /etc/yum.repos.d/MariaDB.repo # MariaDB 10.2 CentOS repository list - created 2018-06-07 02:40 UTC # http://downloads.mariadb.org/mariadb/repositories/ [mariadb] name = MariaDB baseurl = http://yum.mariadb.org/10.2/centos7-amd64 gpgkey=https://yum.mariadb.org/RPM-GPG-KEY-MariaDB gpgcheck=1
Essentially that the name = MariaDB portion is present Thanks!0 -
Hello @Shood No, the issue is the name of the repository is missing in yours. Please see the example I provided. Thanks! 0
